Two well deserving students were awarded $1000 each toward their education, thanks to JFC's annual scholarship program.
The 2007 Scholarship recipients are Elise Fasnacht and Kyle Robert Ward.
To participate in the program, these dedicated JFC employees submitted an essay entitled, "What It Means To Be A JFC Temporary Associate."
"With the assistance of JFC, each person that walks through its doors is given vast opportunity to grow and learn. I feel that during my time with the company, I have developed numerous new skills and a professional work ethic. These new talents will help me easily transition from the classroom to a career. In the workplace, one must value their coworkers and their opinions, be aware of their needs, and be able to give and receive constructive criticism on a daily basis. Through JFC, I have witnessed all of these necessary qualities and more and have learned to apply them successfully."
Elise was on assignment through JFC’s intern program this summer and is currently a Sophomore at Temple University where she majors in Communications.
"Good business hinges on good customer service, and it is the responsibility of the temporary associate to do their best to provide quality labor for the customer companies…In this way, working for JFC over the summer has been like attending school during the rest of the year. What I get out of the experience relates directly to what I give. Just like you have to study and attend classes to succeed at college, you have to work to succeed as a temporary associate. The two are, in their own way, interconnected. Whatever I do in life, I try to do as well as I can. When I go back to school, I have to be the best student I can be, just like while I work I have to be the best temporary associate I can."
Kyle was on assignment through the summer in JFC’s industrial division and is currently a Sophomore at Western Michigan University where he majors in English.
Congratulations, Best Wishes and Thank You to All of Our Scholarship Participants!
